John has over 16 years of experience in the practice of law where he focuses exclusively on Estate Planning and Probate.  Having written the book on estate planning in Georgia, John and his team focuses his practice on helping people preserve a legacy for their family.

Licensed in Georgia

In 2003, John graduates from Georgia State University College of Law and passes the Georgia Bar Exam on the first try, becoming licensed to practice law in Georgia.

Licensed in Tennessee

In 2014, John files an application to practice law in Tennessee and is approved by the Supreme Court of Tennessee. He is now licensed to practice law in 2 states.

The Farrell Law Firm

In 2016, After having practiced law under a number of prominent lawyers, John opens The Farrell Law Firm in Marietta, Georgia, focusing exclusively on Estate Planning and Probate matters.

Magistrate Judge

In 2017, John was sworn in to serve as a Part-Time Magistrate Judge for Cobb County where he served the county during 2017.

Licensed in Texas

John applied to practice law in Texas and was accepted into the practice of law in Texas. He continues to focus on Estate Planning and Probate issues.

In 2018, John wrote Estate Planning for the Modern Family as a step-by-step guide to estate planning in Georgia. In the book, John answers your most important estate planning questions.
